Q:You must customize eclipse UI when you overwrite install old version !

A: Data service 2.0 feature list, please view it at here. View new feature list of V2.0 at here.

If you install old Data Service version before, maybe you will not find new views in V2.0 or new menu items in menu. Please change to data service perspective, then you can customize them by Window > customize perspective...(A quick default setting for Data Service 2.0: Window > Reset Perspective), see illustrations below:

Q: Can not create a new Data Service project or a new connection, what shall I do?

A:Please restart Eclipse, then change to data service perspective and refresh workspace.

Q: Data Explorer can not find data element or data element can not rename, what shall I do?

A: Press "F5" refresh the folder includes data element in Data Explorer for synchronizing worksapce.

Q: How to import a Demo project?

A: If you use typical installation or select "Demo Project" in custom installation, our demo project will be installed in the directory C:\Program Files\iServicePro Data service\demo (Windows OS).

Use main menu File>Import..., open Import Wizard, select Existing Projects into Workspace, then click Next, in Select root directory field import C:\Program Files\iServicePro Data service\demo, you can see the demo project in Projects list, click Finish when you are done.

After imported the project successfully, if your workbench is not in Data Service perspective, you need to switch into Data Service perspective: Windows>Open Perspective>OthersĄ­>Data Service.

Note: Do not import C:\Program Files\iServicePro Data service; otherwise, you can not see an entire project.
Q: Data Service plug-in can not be loaded, what shall I do?

A: After installing Data Service, you need to confirm Data Service plug-in has been loaded into eclipse platform. You can choose "About Eclipse SDK" menu item in Help menu. In "About Eclipse SDK" dialog, click "Plug-in Details" button, you can get the following dialog.


Note: if you use evaluation version, you will not get plugin com.iservicepro.ds.export.sql

If EMF and GEF did not be installed before, only the following plugin can be loaded in Eclipse platform:
com.iservicepro.ds.common
com.iservicepro.ds.doc
com.iservicepro.ds.driver

If you canĄ¯t see the provider of iservicepro.com, please delete all files in path: <Eclipse installer directory>\configuration\org.eclipse.osgi\.

Q: Project can not be imported, what shall I do?

A: When you re-imported a project, you are likely to encounter project already exist problem, like the following figure:

Please try to switch into other perspective, such as Java perspective (Windows>Open Perspective>Others...>Java). You will can find the project, if you confirm that it should been removed, then remove it; the project will can be imported again.
Q: Import an existed project lead to more problems, what shall I do?

A: If you find more problems after importing an existed project(See Figure 2), please click main menu Project>Clean..., open Clean dialog box, click OK, you will get a correct problems environment.

Q: Cannot create data service project, what shall I do?

A: When creating a data service project, sometimes cannot see the project in Data Explorer View, the solution is that restart Eclipse.
